Didinium model for Planetarium Show "Signs of Life"

This is a model I created, rigged, and animated for a sequence in the show "Signs of Life" created for the Samule Oschin Planetarium at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. It was a lot of fun to created this weird model, which is a real microscopic organism you will find in pond water. I animated it chasing paramecium, it's favorite prey, around the dome of the planetarium. Modelled in ZBrush and Maya, textured in Substance, and rendered using Arnold for Maya.
