I created, rigged and animated this funky spiral clock and staircase for the opening titles of Tim Burton's "Wednesday" series for Netflix. This sequence was directed and produced by Filmograph (www.filmograph.tv). This was a fun challenge. The stair case and clock had to match to create a smooth transition. I had the clock numbers kind of floating off the surface which I think made some nice shadows. the hands of the clock were a bit of a challenge. From the camera's view it looks pretty straight-forward but you can see how odd the entire rig was in order to create this type of effect. Once again, Lee Nelson guided the shot and did a terrific job. To top it off I got to animate "Thing" crawling up the stairs! a real challenge as the stair height changes dramatically as the spiral curls upwards. The Thing model, rig, and textures were provided by the production company that does the effects for the show. I can't claim credit for that. I don't know who made the rig for Thing but its really good, very fun to animate.
