I created these beehive models as part of the set for the fourth animation in my insect vision series. You can see the first three chapters on www.entomologyanimated.com. I created some test renders in Redshift and also upgraded the hair on my bee model and improved the rig. Bee models are ZBrush and Maya, textured in Substance, hair is Yeti, rendered in Redshift for Maya. I started the beehive models in Blender just to learn how to use the software. Beehives were textured in Substance painter. Background elements - grass, flowers, wall, and tree branch are all Quixel Megascans, Next step is to start animating these gals flying about.
